work this time round either. Sadly we know his advisors will jump at the chance if he is offered silly money elsewhere.
"Yes Theo we know you like it at Arsenal but you need to be professional about this, it is your future not theirs" Yadda yadda I would think

who seemed intent on the move despite his whole family telling him to stay put. Would he really go to Liverpool though - he won't get a game at City or Chelsea which are mentioned as other option

Along with the 100k a week.

sense than letting a £15m player go on a free.

Reports are he wants 100k a week. That's not much more than he's worth imo. England International who was a key player last season, albeit a bit inconsistent.

So what starts out as 25kpw suddenly becomes £200kpw and then that's 10m gone

Be entitled to similar if not much more. Our wage bill is £143m as it is.

No player @ Arsenal earns 100k per week basic salary.

If you give it to Theo then rightly you would have the agent of 6-7 other players wanting an appointment with Mr Law and Mr Wenger, small step from mutiny. Can’t be done.

Should have been sold in July for as you correctly point out getting zero for him is inexcusable apart from the excusable fact that we couldn’t have sold him against his will.

There should be more money available with improved sponsorship deals coming up. He's not asking for *much* more than he deserves. The fact is we're never going to be able to keep any of our best players if the structure doesn't change. I don't know if it can or will.

That's the dilemma.

If a sensible compromise cant be found, maybe half way inbetween or a raise of 10% every year, then the boy should pack his moshi monsters bags.

He's not worth breaking the structure for

He's not worth jeopardizing the future of the club for but I would hate to see him at Chelsea or City.

When Wilshere or Chamberlain come looking for a new contract in 2-3 years, selling them will be the only option then? Hopefully that isn't the reality and the improved commercial deals will come into play then.
