View Full Version : Is anyone else just bored of Arsenal? Like, losing the passion?

I had the startling realisation last night that I might be. I have been going for 29 years, but just feel so "meh" suddenla about the whole thing.

I missed the Olympiakos game so I could go to a gig. My sister went and enjoyed it much more than I think I would have done.

It might be the Emirates. It might be the "self sustaining model" with Stan. I am losing my connection with the club.

Anyone else feel the same? Or am I just being pathetic?

I enjoy watching us still, but the whole going to game rigmarole is starting to grate......

started last season.

I even left early last time I went and I never leave early.

Only went to a handful last season and been once this season

Losing interest with football generally rather than Arsenal though tbh. Still get the highs and lows from OUR results

And 1986 is not a typo :gooner:

Though football was around before the Premier league.

A few other people have been saying the same recently too. and not all Arse fans.

Most tempted I have been in years.

If only Ireland weren't playing.

Remember drawing 1-1 in 89. Lansdowne sold out and rocking.

it is probably mostly that I am several hundred miles away, but the new team has certainly caught my imagination. Let Santi heal you cd. He is a little miracle worker

hopefully the United away game will be slightly less of a disaster this year and reinvigorate me......on the other hand, Everton are having a good season and enjoy going there and England games are more of interest than they used to be http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/smile.gif

It's the sort of game that really gets the blood pumping, I've re found my love of away games this year.

I have been letting my mates have tickets to practically every away game since 2006 (except Spurs and West Ham), but went to a few last season and have been to Liverpool and West Ham already this season, with United and Villa next month. I still pick and choose the ones I want to go to, but am finding myself making more of an effort to go this year.

*I am certainly not more interested in England or Everton than Arsenal, just more interested than I would be due to seeing someone I know playing for them

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy it. Just not with the same cut and thrust as i once did. Would rather be home having a roast dinner at 4 pm than schlepping back from a god awful place like Bolton on a Sunday night.
