I don't think there has ever been three putts made like that on the last three holes. All of them bombs! Poor Phil didn't know what hit him.

I'm convinced, the Euros went out there and won the thing after seeing that plus some of the other highlights. Happy for Ollie because he was teed up to be skewered by the English press.

Or something similar. I'm not a golf fan and have no comment to make on the proceedings but I scrolled down out of curiosity at the high level of interest and did notice that he had been quite prolific in his high-spirited comments.

I noted your recent post, Chief, about how some people on your side were going a bit over the top about this tournament and it seems like there is plenty of symmetry over here. We're not all like that, honest.

He made some very reasoned posts distancing himself from that stuff, from what I saw. http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/shrug.gif

Kuchar and Westwood have known each other for 15 years. I'm sure everything was fine. What if they decided on the first tee that if you have a putt to win the match you have to make it?

But in your eyes Matt Kuchar, by all regards one of the most popular players in the eyes of his peers, is a douchebag.

whatever. Sems that you have fallen victim to the contrived hype as well.

I find it rather amusing to see people make blanket statements about 100% of the people in a country of 330 million, 350 counting the illegals, spanning 4 time zones.

It's a made for TV event designed to attempt to not have golf completely run over in the sporting calendar by football there and the NFL and baseball here.

They ON PURPOSE create a different atmosphere for this event. Since it is never ever done in golf, the first time you hear someone cheering because an "opponent" hit one in the water it it makes you mad -- which is what they want you to feel!

The reality is that all of these guys are friends, half the Euro team lives in the US full time, in the same neighborhoods as their US born brethren, mostly in Orlando.
