I mean, sort of an intermediate stage, to make the return to the real awimb board a little smoother?

We've all seen the returns of notorious flouncers Jorge, Berni and Dr Headgear lately, but they appear to be guest appearences. Have we been too harsh with them? Have they been deacclimatised to the rough tone? Could such an intermediate board be admisnistered by a softer more gentle person, e.g. a woman? Maz perhaps, or Hillary?

What do you think, Fash, you made the return and survived?

The more people that announce that "this place is dull/crap/stupid, so I'm off" the more the remaining posters will think "hmm, all these people think that I'm dull/crap/stupid, maybe I should creepeth away quietly" until there's finally a mad dash for the exit.

which would generate popcorn-munching audiences. Whereas now it seems they if someone is pissed off with what someone else has posted they just leave - possibly in a huff.

Of course we do get the modd v everyone else nights but by the nature of the thing the material is rarely fresh.

No-one else of any quality has left recently, unless I'm mistaken?

Berni went a bit mental at Nic.

and Sir Charlie I thought was on holiday?

Berni left (at least for the second time) because of me. Dunno why Sir C left, but I was a bit worried that it was immediately after I'd had taken a pop at Prince Charles, as some people are offended by anti-royalty.

So it might be mostly my fault.

Jorge is too modern for me, no idea what the f**k he is banging on about most of the time.

Sir C is a nice lad, met him recently. Irish origin of course.

but I think there are many other factors - including match-fitness, injury and availability. SW only comes on for a few minutes either side of half-time. Peter rarely plays these days and when he does he's a bit rusty. Hilary puts in some good performances but seems to be out on loan rather a lot.

Failing to replace Ian Harvey was possibly the turning point, and obviously Greg Mitchell was always a red card waiting to happen, but he did liven a game up.
