One of the courses involved a celeriac which had become blackened by leaving it for three hours over the coals.
The waiter sliced it in two and took a soup spoon sized scoop from either half.
God knows what they did after carting off 80% of the rest of it but I'll wager the unwashed vegans at the back door ate well.
