View Full Version : Why should a professional footballer not celebrate a goal against his old club?

So long as it isn't done provocatively like Adebayor, running half of the length of the pitch to pose in front of their former club's fans.

Or unless the goal has exceptional consequences for the former club (like Denis Law famously once scored for Man City and that goal ensured United's relegation).

Otherwise, if they are playing for my team now, I would not expect them to give it a moment's thought....

scored. Got a very late winner (brilliant move with Merse and Campbell) and went absolutely mental. Not sure Saints fans would have minded Theo celebrating
