I stayed out near the Ottokring tube station which is on the outskirts. My hotel was on a hill that had a panoramic view of the city, was excellent. The name escapes me though.

Not got much to suggest in the way of activities or watering holes, I just oafed about the city found some class scenery, decent food and quality beers. You'll like it imo.
