Trying to study which means I have to read a book. But I cant read more than 2 pages at a time before my brain shuts down. Ive tried lots of different techniques like have a bath before study etc. Also for every bit of new stuff that goes into my brain, something already in it gets deleted and Im scared it will be something important like how to use the underground. This is really getting me down I have to do an exam soon so am forcing myself. I never even asked to be born. I wish I was dead.

Also known as memory enhancers, cognitive enhancers or 'Botox for the brain', smart drugs are a group of medicines used to treat neurological conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Alzheimer's disease, and sleep disorders like narcolepsy. They include:
Modafinil, developed for narcolepsy and usually sold under the brand name Provigil
Methylphenidate, aka Ritalin or Concerta, a stimulant primarily used to treat ADHD and sometimes nicknamed 'kiddie coke'
Adderall, a mixture of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine used for ADHD and narcolepsy
Studies show around one in five US college students have taken smart drugs to help them study. It's thought they're becoming more widely used in the UK, too. They've also been trialled by the UK and US armies, and by pilots and astronauts.
What are the effects of smart drugs?
Smart drugs improve memory, concentration and alertness, and studies show modafinil users can stay awake for longer without needing to catch up on extra sleep. People use them to aid revision sessions rather than nights out, leading experts to suggest universities should test for them - much like testing athletes for performance-enhancing drugs.

to relax and maybe adjust to what you brain can do. do hour exam pratice and then have a break for 30 mintues then do another hour.
these things can make you feel low at life and feels can throw us off course. But work in short peroids and then relax . hopefully that might help.
to accept the promblem and then adjust to what you can do.
therefore brain can work without forgeting it for too long.

Maybe he can read a few of your posts and that'll make the subject he's studying more interesting

writing will help break the monotony
summarising the main points will actually help you remember the stuff
at the end you have an easy-to-read summary of the content
try it for 5 pages
use your laptop or tablet to do this if your handwriting is awful
