View Full Version : Things you've noticed about the difference in the way we defend now?

I'll start

We are clearly taking less risks than we used to. Previously we would have passed it around the defence more, rather than just hitting it towards the halfway line. Also, we don't seem too proud to just header the ball out for acorner or throw, whereas we previously would have tried to keep it in

Also, Arteta is very hard working when it comes to helping out the defence

Shame about the goal but no reflection of our new found defensive discipline

We have been keeping the ball a lot better this season and that is a big part of it.

Also, we havent been really stretched by anybody yet. Liverpool worked a lot of space against us but lacked quality in the final third. Any real improvements in our defending will be severely tested against city and chelsea. Lets see how we get on in those.
