the radio earlier talking about how emotional the day has been for him. He talked about his experiences of writing stories on Hillsborough at school and having his teacher tell him his account was a lie, and his friends at school tell him he was from a hooligan football club. He then went on to talk about how him and his dad would often sit down and talk over a bottle of whisky about the true events of that day.

All this from a bloke who was about 18 months old when it happened http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/hehe.gif

and I am glad that the facts have come out. No-one is absolved from blame in all of this.

However the victim-mongering is going to stoop to an all time low. There will be no depth that they will sink to to get sympathy.

The fatal aspect of this was 3000ish Scousers ending up in an area designed for 2200 but which should have been reduced to around 1600 due to inadequate barriers

Opening the exit (sic) door to let them in may have ultimately been the cause of the problems INSIDE the stadium. But that was done to alleviate the problems caused by the fans OUTSIDE but trying to get in.

The Police were damned if they did and damned if they didn't let them in to the stadium due to the crush at the turnstiles. A lot of criticism, rightly, is levelled at the police for trying to hide their mistakes but I still can't see how the fans are completely exhonorated in all of this http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/shrug.gif

From any blame is sickening.Like drunk and ticketless fans didn't cause a surge at the turnstiles. Oh no.

Mc Gooner
09-12-2012, 07:03 PM
Most of the fatalities appear to have been fans that turned up early and were at the front of the 'pens'. The huge and excessive influx of (ticketless?) latecomers, irrespective of the police role in causing it, has to have been a factor imo

that have exonerated the fans of blame thus rendering your argument a bit silly. Taylor said this 20 years ago and people still trot out the same line

I'm just saying that some Liverpool fans have to accept some responsibility and not pass all the blame on to the Police for their errors.

The police attempt to cover their errors up is a bit of a red herring in some respects.

trying to put the blame on anyone else. Apologies if I mis-enterprited it.

A very heavy price was sadly paid by 96 people that day but the fact remains that there were too many people trying to get into the stadium in a short period of time. That was avoidable ergo contributory negligence. I'm therefore not overly inclined to accept that NONE of the blame rests with SOME of the fans. That might sound naive and heartless but I don't believe I'm either of those tbh

and the Hillsborough Familys Supporters Group was to find out the truth and for justice for their loved ones. None of it was to improve their image. They are both fantastic groups solely for the aim of getting justice for the 96.

do I not have a right to blame the police or the organisers for allowing this to happen, "because it was Bieber fans that pushed from the outside, and she being a Bieber fan, it's partly her fault"?
