He obviously had an early warning about this morning's depressing new job numbers. He really looked like he was just going through the motions, regurgitating tired liberal rhetoric, throwing out promises like Rip Taylor threw confetti (1 million manufacturing jobs, deficit cut in half, etc.).

It was regurgitated, but so are most of these speeches. Romney's speech was dire.

I watched Faux news's coverage just to see their reaction, and apart from Charles Krauthammer, they seemed to think it was OK. It seemed to get a better reaction than Romney's did anyway

that they purposely toned down the speech because of the group testing they had done prior to the speech. They claim that the "people" wanted a more serious tone. heh, yeah right.

Char;se was spot on, it was shocking how vapid the content was, coupled with a clear lack of emotion. It looked like he wanted to be anywhere else but on that stage. He ripped through the speech at a lightening pace. It was really only the last few minutes before he looked like the Obama speech maker I know.

Biden gave the best speech of the night. At least he likes America.
