I hated it so much. So much so that one day I had a had a flight around 2pm to Stansted.

It was early morning I was so eager to leave I f**ked the plane off and paid £90 to get the train.

and if you factor in airport waiting times plus travel to the airport and from the airport at the other end, then you're probably talking about a 5 hour door to door journey, which is about the same as on the train.

Costs the same on train or plane. Train takes 5 hours, plane takes 1 hour. No restriction on check in so I get there 30 mins or so before departure then get picked up from the airport.

The only advantage I see to trains is that they deposit you in the city center.
