Yes, I'm aware quite how boring a post this is.

Please forgive me, it's been a long day.

And my car is ****.

I hate to think of the lower orders eating dressed crab.

Ce soir we had foie gras and brioche. My 13 year-old declared that she preferred confit'ed red onions to fig preserve with her foie gras.

I was pleased. Mind you, she still likes her espresso with milk and coffee

It's so hard to inculcate one's children with proper, middle class values, don't you find?

Decent food and drink simply isnt middle class in other countries though, it's the sort of thing you'd eat in a simple spanish venta, for example.

(and, indeed, picaresque [little Don Quixote gag there, kids] ) idyll, don't you?

The European idyll you and I love is largely based on us and the Germans working REALLY f**kING HARD and then spending a couple of weeks there per year.

Still, it's still a f**k sight better than being a septic, so I'm not complaining.

Anyway, the Germans do sort of karmically owe everyone.

I liked Arsene saying that arsenal will be like the Germans the other day, he's still not learned, has he?

otherwise you have to buy it at the end of the lease or lease it again. You end up paying for leases and never owning your own car.

The company will get a tax deduction which will be restricted if the car costs more than 12k

You will be taxed as income depending on the cars fuel efficiency

If the car is used for business you can claim mileage allowance which is tax free to a set level

You don't get any of the above if you lease it yourself although clearly you personally have to fund the lease payments out of taxed earnings.

In classic tax advisor style, the answer to your question is "it depends"
