The entire ethic of the team has changed. Both Podolski and Ox did a huge amount of defensive work. Podolski in particular combines the roles of striker/attacking winger/left midfielder brilliantly.
Diaby and Arteta do and enormous amount of work plugging all the holes.

Surely that not all just because Steve Bould said so? He ain't Chuck Norris.

I would say he probably has a hand in Gibbs not running off in the wrong direction as often anymore. And probably the organisation on set pieces, although we did get away with one in the first half when Agger missed.

to our defence. everyone works for each other. no star ego not working hard enough. also arsene had a masterful summer. got rid of players who didn,t want to be here and bought in players who added class and workrate to the team.

We look totally different at set pieces, at both ends.

Arteta and Diaby both sat and held very well but took turns to join the attack. Our back 4 actually formed a straight line and Liverpool hardly got between our midfield and back four and certainly didn't really threaten to get behind our back line and force our defenders to face their own goal.

Players do have to take the ultimate responsibility, but it is a total change in style of play for this team. It does appear that Bould is the likely catalyst
