View Full Version : Can our squad be improved upon? Do we have the resources to do so?

The answer to both questions is YES.

We are not entitled to win the league, however we are entitled to try. All i would ever ask from the people in charge of Arsenal FC is that they TRY to do as much as they can for the good of the club. They are not.

We deserve better.

either of the El Clįsico's.

I'm totally dismayed and disillusioned with our lack of activity this transfer window http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/frown.gif

This whole move from Highbury to the Emirates and the club propaganda that has been espoused has been a load of pish.

Fans, paying fans, lifelong fans and die-hard blood Gunner Red fans have every right to feel cheated lately.

I dread to think how he'll feel if we actually lose a match or two.

Like I said I have no sense of entitlement, i would be happy to finish mid table every year if I thought that the people in charge were doing there utmost to help the club achieve all it can.

Whilst I may have been a little drunk and a touch dramatic when I wrote that ,I stand by the sentiment. I do not feel that the board/manager have the same ambition as the fans anymore . Even if against all odds we finished second it would feel like failure, not because finishing 2nd is not an achievement, but because I would always know that we had the resources available to improve the squad and maybe have a better chance of winning the damn thing.

I will always be a loyal supporter of Arsenal, I have just never felt as frustrated as I do now.

Yes, I also wonder whether having 20 international players in the team means we aren't good enough. For gods sake we have pod and giro up front, more midfielders than we can possibly play and a defensive line that has kept a clean sheet in the first 2 games of the season. Take a look at spurs or even Liverpool and tell me our squad isn't acceptable

Thanks - 10 posts on here since I registered in 2005, but this **** takes the biscuit and I couldn't help myself. GET BACK TO REALITY PEOPLE.

Arguably we have one of the most technically able squads since the days we used to sit in highbury watching Dennis, thierry, pires, petit Viera playing.

We were over reliant on van Persia the same way we were over reliant on Thierry towards the end. One injury to Rvp last season and we were screwed. We couldn't make him stay and according to both sides it wasn't About cash so we had to sell.

My only issue with management is letting players getting to 12 mths left on contract. My view is 2 years to go you resign or you are sold, end of story.

Depending on your point of view I'm on the good side ie ident work for hmrc. I'm a season ticket holder of some years......and I know the tax guy that advises the club on contract matters pretty well - strangely he is a spurs fan
