for all his flaws, song did enough tackling and tracking back to keep that position for years and made arteta's transition from everton alot easier. lets not kid our selves

then again it could be a smashing move...but that's why its a gamble.

diaby, arteta, ramsey, wilshere and frimpong all have / have had their fair shair of problems.

That loan move for Reo Coker isn't so silly when you think about it and add a few injury / suspension perms into the mix.

Consistent in patches, to quote the inconsistency-meister. I'd rather have Arteta play there.

its about his ability to tackle and chase the ball, which is something wilshere or arteta cannot do to the same extent, having arteta there could work in a home game against team that defends with 11 if we're chasing a goal....but it wont work in away games or in tougher games.

maybe he believes in the le coq or thinks frimpong is close to fitness, but i doubt arteta can replace song.

I liked Hleb too, btw, but it didn't work out for him. It might work out for Alex, or it might not. I think he'll need to adjust his physicality for the Spanish refs though for starters.
