First book of his that I've read as I've always been under the impression that they would be annoyingly 'quirky'. Thankfully, I was wrong, it was a great read and has given me new found Psychopath spotting powers through introducing me to the 'Hare checklist' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hare_Psychopathy_Checklist http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/nod.gif

It was, though, also pretty horrific. For example, I could have done without knowing that Ted Bundy liked to kill women because he thought that staring into their eyes as they died would make him feel normal http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/frown.gif

In fact, I didn't know who he was until I googled him 30 seconds ago. There are plenty of mentions of famous British cases, though. The Rachel Nickell murder being a particularly sad one, not least because of the way the police acted.

The man who created it, Bob Hare, came across as if he deemed every other person to be a Psychopath.

charge and ended up in Broadmoor for years! Wasn't sure if he was faking it or not, wearing a pinstripe suit in there seemed a bit out there though
