So today is largely about who goes.

Looks like we will turn a small profit this summer, but we are going to struggle in the forward psitions.

If we are left with just five forwards, one of whom will miss six weeks at the african nations, i will be rather upset. A club of our size should not be in tht position.

If there are no players that can improve the squad of the fourth best team in england, football is seriously f**ked.

The issue is the sizeable funds. Maybe they are not quite as sizeable as might think. Or we are just tighter than a drum.

Title push is probably four very good players and 80-90 million quid away. It may as well be sat on Mars.

There must be plenty of players that could strengthen us. And I do believe that with two or three top signings we could be up close to the top by the end of the season.

And strikeforce has lost a top class striker and gained two seemingly good ones.

After today we may be ever so slightly weaker but i would hope we will play better than last season.

One thing is for sure. The policy may have shifted but the purse strings havent loosened.
