It was just a tirade of slander and false claims

one small example was attacking Obama for blocking a bipartisan economic suggestion, when Ryan himself was on the actual committee and voted 'NO'

How did he forget to mention that little fact http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/hehe.gif

modd seems pleasant and genuine, if somewhat politically misguided.

He's just terribly afraid that he won't be.

I like modd. He brightens up my day. He's full of zeal and enthusiasm and is self-confident, though self-critical as well.

It's your natural state to believe that central planning and socialism is the way to go. For Americans, Ryan's speech was brilliant.

Now, Brits do not believe "that central planning and socialism is the way to go". Only socialists do :)

How is a speech filled with lies, false claims, hypocrisy, slander and inaccuracies good? :confused.com:

He's getting hammered for it left, right and centre.

They were going crazy about the GM plant in his district and have been moonwalking it back all day when they found out that Ryan's comment was true. The Simpson-Bowles "compromise" was first rejected by Obama .. except for the raising taxes bit. No way Ryan was going to go for something as *******ized as that.

It was refreshing, sober, and at the same time an extremely uplifting speech. We CAN solve these problems before it is too late. Whatever you are watching to get your info is part of the Obama Cherleading Squad that is flailing because they know that what they are doing isn't working.

The Maerican Experience, previous to Obama, cheers successful people and the ntion is strong that anyone, regardless of circumstance of birth, can become successful. Now all we hear about is how the wealth"needs to be spread around". Did you hear Obama's "You didn't build that" speech? Absolutely unthinkable prior to 2008 that a President would say what he said.

His government has been encouraging dependency on the government. Folks on food stamps have skyrocketed. The requirment that those on welfare must be seeking work has been gutted. Unemployment insurance rolls have skyrocketed.

Obama's world view is that the United States has become wealthy by taking resources from the rest of the world and it is necessary for the United States, in the interest of the rest of the world, to "come down" on to a more even plane with other countries. He's written about it in his biographies and epanded on that in his speeches prior to running for President.

His view is that only government can dictate what is best for society and that the individual must live, work and breathe within those confines as set by government. YOu may have a different definition for socialism. It's the virtue of central planning.
