He wants to sign but can't agree on the terms? I cannot believe that Arsenal will fall for this, assuming there is any truth to it. If he is not signed up asap he should be sold before tomorrow night....simples. There should be no other outcome.

From Theo's point of view, it would be a perfect situation. He gets more bargaining power and forces the club's hands, just a litlle bit more, knowing that he has no market value unless he signs a new contract and can go on a free next summer.

Of course the long odds are that the club agree a contact for £100k in March next year and flog him next summer for £25M http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/hehe.gif

Either way, once the deadline passes, theo holds all the cards. His agent will be ****ing himself silly. He can demand whatever he likes and arsenal are powerless to do anything about it.

After the deadline, his agent wont want him to sign anything. Why sign for 100 grand when you could get much more next summer once out of contract?

Chances are we will end up paying him more than he is currently asking for. Bad business.

Of course, theo may just sign up like a good boy and the matter will be resolved.

not the Walcott situation per se but the fans' obsession with contracts and wages and what the club should be doing. Fairly sure that whatever happens we will put out a team on Sunday.

Although one comment - all these cards Theo holds do they include a get out of injury free card because unless they do - and considering his record - the lad needs to think seriously if he intends to run down his contract. 15 mins with Colin Lewin and he may not find a club that will take him

Wages and contracts matter. As fans we are completely house trained. We worry sbout the wage bill, turnover, the heating bills.

If we signed messi for 70 million tomorrow half of us would be on here saying 'ooooh, hope we didnt damage the wage structure, does sund rather expensive'

The club have done a job on us http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/smile.gif

People get far more excited about a transfer windownthan any match.

And rightly so. It is hilarious
