View Full Version : I know it was only Orient but Mirallas was rather excellent for Everton last night

think we might have missed out there.

If we were really after him and didn't get him, then surely that means we are after another striker.

and Everton being an easier team for him to secure that with?

Chamakh scored against them 2 years ago and Bendtner got a hat-trick.

especially good players that cost relatively small amounts, he went to them for about £7m didn't he?

one is staying put and the other one off to Juventus....you see, scoring a lot against Orient will get you money and CL football

if played regularly, up front, with the feeling they are first choice.

Must be quite soul destroying knowing that no matter what you do, someone else will definitely walk back in to the team when fit.

it's not just about money, we sort of pfaffed about and made a bid whereas Everton went all out and made him feel wanted and that he would be an integral part of the side

I fancy Everton (if they keep Felli and Baines) to be this year's Newcastle

was also unlucky not to score on his debut at the weekend, 1ft offside

their squad was desperate for an extra striker to supplement Jelavic, whereas he knows we've just spent (relatively) big on 2 forwards so he would face more competition for places here.

I think they will do very well, still think they are maybe a midfielder who creates short of Newcastle from last season though.

And made such an impression that they went and spunked £12m on Stephen Fletcher instead http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/hehe.gif

not some **** hole in the north east, managed by a cretin (then replaced by an even bigger cretin).

Bendtner can do it, he showed that in the Euros with his goals for Denmark, he's just a bit of a knob who believes his own hype.

For us.

far more direct for a start, helps when you've got a CB who can spray (and is massively under-rated at this) accurate 50 yard passes

I think the way they play suits them, but they will need a creative spark around the box to push on much higher than about 7th.

Arteta used to give them that little bit of vision, and quality of pass, which the 2 forwards they now have would thrive on.

5 or 6 from being played through by Phil and Jelavic missed one at the weekend

Cracking cross for the Fellaini goal....even if Given had a shocker

coming from. Still think they'll be right up there
