View Full Version : Serge Gnabry seems to be getting a few mentions as a potential Theo replacement
Must confess I've never heard of him and missed the Cologne match. Are there really high hopes for him, or is this a bit desperate?

There was only one that he got a decent amount of playing time in, as far as I can remember

And glowing reviews from his time at Bolton. Where do you get your 'opinion' from?

they also failed to demonstrate the characteristics needed to win stuff, like grit, hard work,maturity, discipline and commitment.
which is why they broke apart as a group, as they realised them self they were never going to win stuff together.
look how they fared in other teams which shows their lack of character
clichy and nasri = squad players at city
adebayor = flop every where
cesc and hleb = squad players at barca
flamini = flop at milan
song will not get a kick at barca
and watch RVP be as effective as berbatov for fergusson
this generation had some talent, but lacked alot in character, which is why we as a team failed.

have won about fifty trophies between them. That's fine by us; no-one can guarantee silverware.
More pressing for us has been paying for our new stadium and running on an even financial keel and these players have helped enormously with that.

but it has been a sporting failure, 7 years without a trophy is our worst run in 30 years...and if we fail to win something this season, it will be our worst run in 50 years or so

brand of football nowadays and the improvement of our reputation thereof.
It's been great for us to watch too; all those great, big games. That's all worth something, isn't it?

lots of ppl around the world love arsenal, because of the way we play, our history but also our future.
our fanbase and financial power is linked to what we achieve, we can only sell the future for so long, if we continue with sporting failure too long, it will have negative impact on financial muscle and fanbase, which means we'll be needing to spend big money to get back to the top.
therefore it makes no financial sense to ignore the now for the future if requires alot of money for you to get back to the top later.
ofocurse if you're an owner who plans to sell the club in few years for a profit, then you wouldn't care about that, which is what i suspect is going on.
