They have been saying not to listen to twitter "agent" accounts for a long time. Now people may actually believe that info on transfers very rarely gets leaked.

Football transfer stories are truly soap operas especially as they claim to mirror reality but are in truth just a ridiculously overblown caricature of it
I do wonder if the Sol Campbell deal would ever happened as it did in today's social media world

I know somewhere there is a list of every player linked with every club during a transfer window, I wonder what percentage actually happen...less than 1% I would imagine

Either agents or the club had briefed the press about where things had got to, and some reported it fairly factually, others made up fluff around it to make it sound more dramatic

On the rare occasion that a player actually offers an actual opinion or original thought (e.g. something that may be considered newsworthy by the national media), they wouldn't be able to publish it, because it would bring unwanted attention onto the player and club.
What an odd position for an interviewer to be in...
