View Full Version : I really hope we miss out on 4th this year. Getting CL money only reinforces this approach.

Watching RVP score for united makes me hate arsenal a little bit.

It seems our outgoings and incomings are not that far apart.

I'm no fan of Kroenke & Gazidis, btw. I think they should come clean about where we stand with the monies. I saw a figure earlier claiming that about £160m has 'disappeared' from the club in the last few years. That sounds made-up to me, but where is there a reliable figure of the balance?

We've got a fixed term deal which doesn't allow for early repayments.

All they are doing is attempting not to run the business they are collectively responsible for within the means afforded to it by its income. I mean, even if you disagree with the basic philosophy of it you surely have to recognise the validity of the thinking behind the approach, no?

dividends?

I understand people wanting Chelsea/City style sugar daddy, but didn't Malaga have one of those? And they're now a bit f**ked because he lost interest. We may continue to not win things going as we are against the oil-funded clubs, but we don't face the risk of obliteration, which both Chelsea and City do if their benefactors pulled out.

If you pay the manager enough money, he'll back you publically regardless of what you're doing to the club.....

No offence, like, but you do.

I dont claim to be any sort of authority myself but it's something I keep an eye on from time to time, call it intellectual curiosity if you will.

This would be a fairly decent place to start if you want to enlighten yourself. Assuming, of course, that enlightening yourself is something you might be interested in.

Dividends or otherwise, these people can run the business accordingly and we as supporters have to wear it.

I'd find it pretty disturbing, if as suggested , £160m had gone west. I don't realy trust Kroenke, from what I've seen so far, call it gut feeling or intuition, his real motives for acquiring the club still remain something of a mystery.

I've no love or loyalty for the man and, as he's a serial sports club owner with a track record for running his clubs within their means and not asset stripping them, one can only assume his exit plan is based around one of a long term sale.

The fact he hasn't injected a lot of money into the club or burdened it with a massive amount of debt is enough for me.

Your theory doesnt hold any water, based largely on the fact that they've not taken a penny in dividends.

Kroenke and Gazidis need to load £580m of debt on the club, show some ambition.

It is not possible for a publicly traded company to "extract" cash without declaring a dividend. The auditors wouldn't allow it. This is therefore complete rubbish
