A player who allegedly would not play because of injury yet rose like Lazarus to play almost immediately for Barca.

I don't think he came out of the deal with any or much credit myself.

Nor has van Persie of course but once a player is allowed to get to 12 months he can more or less dictate which club he is going to. Far from ideal of course.
