I have come to the conclusion that the likes of Gerrard, Carragher, Terry, Giggs and Scholes are a dying breed.

With the amount of money players can earn now, and the lack of need for a testimonial, football will see more and more players spending 3/4 years at a club before moving on for the massive signing on fees/wages that will be on offer elsewhere.

As fans, I think we need to adjust our expectations of loyalty accordingly.
