Arsenal are hamstrung by weak sponsorship deals that were struck when they were desperate to generate revenue to fund the stadium move from Highbury and by the vast salaries they are committed to for players who are not required but not shiftable

With RvP/Flamini/Hleb. Just that the players chosen didn't develop as expected.

No way Arsenal could envisage this happening. We are hamstrung cause we cannot pay those wages while we pay off stadium debt.

We have to endure their mistakes and piss poor performances for years (Song), and when they finally look good, we sell them to clubs who are doing what we should be doing.

My belief is that Wenger is the perfect man to run the club in this phase, until we pay off our stadium debt. We won't win anything, but the foundations will be strong for the future regime

Just not make it the sole focus. More of a mix. Trouble is, we can't afford the world class players once they get to 23/24 so there is always going to be some we pick up in a gamble.

What galls me is that we'd have some team if the ungrateful *******s had all stuck around.
