Played table tennis for the first time in a decade last night

Took me a while to pick it up again, but I didn't think I was doing too badly.

After about 10 minute of knock ups, the coach came up to me and said he'd like me to play someone else. Feeling quite chuffed with myself for having seemingly been singled out for special treatment, I got taken over to the other side of the room to be introduced to a bloke who must have been at least 70 and had what could fairly be described as severe mobility issues.
