View Full Version : So is RvP in or out? I haven't been paying much attention.

Quick! Some Arsenal buddy rang me today. I have to call him back and act like I know what's going on or my street cred will be in tatters.

didn't think that particular ditty was transferable across the pond, Roo. Wonder where it started? Probably your way, that's the way most of those things go.

If they had him last year undoubtedly they would have easily won the league.

Apart from us, of course.

So the real measure for us is what if we had had two of him- would we have won the league?

Amd the answer is no- definitely not.

bayonet tip. We all learned this last season. Holland too.

Perhaps one of the Manchesters will learn it next.

A one club golfer like defoe, but a player like van persie has the all round game to contribute to any side. It is a question of the right player fpr the right team.

Maradona in his pomp couldnt have dragged our squad into a title challenge last year.

The problem city would find is that they dont need him. The less you ned a player, the less he can improve you.

He would do fine at united, depending on how they use him with rooney.

Sign Robin, as he is now, and you've no real choice about how to use him, regardless of how it affects the team. He wouldn't be decisive for either team, as he wasn't for us.

I just believe that he's not the player everyone seems to think he is, or wants him to be.

And that's when he's fit and playing well.

We'll be fine either way, I feel.

best work when paired with a proper bayonet tip.

Maradona had Careca, Bergkamp had Wright/Anelka/Henry, Messi used to have Eto'o/missed David Villa badly last season and so on.

He could make an impact at united but he wouldnt be indulged the way he is with us. He would have to work for it.

Of course we will be fine without him.

have it sorted by April next time, so they can concentrate on the latter stages of the European Cup (a competition in which RvP would offer them lots of experience, of course).

This train of thought is plausible if you can afford to spend the way they do.

I would say that these two things could happen regardless, thereby also rendering United's quest for glory bootless, whether they add him or not.

Anyway, we're going to win the league so they're both f**ked
