View Full Version : I have done a U turn. Whilst a bit of me still thinks the club should, for once, stick to its

guns & not cave in to Van Persie & make him stay my head is now saying sell the f**ker. He has had oneish good season (his awards were for the last year rather than the season, where his form dipped at the end)I bet, if he doesn't get injured, he will struggle like Torres did when he moved & similar to Berbatov. It will be nice to get £15m + out of manure & get them further into debt with a player that has no sell on value.
WE WILL FINISH ABOVE MANU - There I said it.

I want to see some consistency before I get too carried away.

Wellbeck looks very iffy despite all the hype. Hernandez looks decent but more of an impact player who comes off the bench.
Berbatov, well, god knows what they've done to him. Always appears to score loads when they use him, which is hardly ever. Which leaves Rooney in the middle. If he gets injured, they're completely f**ked.

I was amazed he kept getting the nod over Berbatov.

Not quite sure desperate is the correct adjective to use.

If indeed adjective is the correct word.

Did you not watch some of the Cologne match?

The Steve Bouldesque near post flick on by Big Per was, by far, the highlight of the game http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/smile.gif

TBH I still think we let a pretty gash Cologne team get at our back 4 far too easily. Better teams will waltz through

instead of with them feckers!! Cause I think it's either them or us for the title this season.....Chelski are rebuilding, Man City will face the fact that they have never defended a title and probably will come short in doing so.

If they manage to sign Agger who is a damned fine footballer then I can't see them having many problems really.

They have a quite ridiculous pool of players to select from.

We need to expect Poldi, Giroud and Cazorla to take time to settle in. Podolski and Cazorla are not gambles but Giroud certainly is. If RvP leaves, we are dependant on Giroud up front. We are also lacking in the full back positions and our midfield lacks muscle.

Personally, given he only cost £3.5m, I'd prefer us to hold onto him and let him go for free.

£20m is too much to turn down but we won't sign a player as good for that price.

Unrealistic but if we sold van Persie, Bendtner & Arshavin and got someone like Cavani I'd be delighted. That's what I'd do on football manager http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/smile.gif

We miss out on £15-20m which to us is not an inconsiderable sum of money.

Then there is the whole motivation thing, are we dealing with a Flamini or a Wiltord situation.

Sell.

we will have had a net spend of zero this season, same as every other season when our net spend is a maximum of zero

It's fairly impressive how we do it every season and still stay top 4. I'd like to just keep him, to see if we can win a trophy and hope that he changes his mind

(can't call them problems really) ,but I still hink that if they get a bad patch of games with ****ty results then the shot will hit the fan and there dressingroom will fall apart due to fingers being pointed at one another and so forth....(here's hoping anyway http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/smile.gif )

Barca or Real will want him for free and I reckon he would go there. If he is injury struck, they will all shy away.
