Then again diamond shaped football pitches could be the next big thing.

Is there no regulations in the MLB?

Couldn't see the same happening in the NFL.

teams owners. The league knows how to milk the public and the taxpayers too though.just look at the Los Angeles situation. The 2nd biggest market in the us and it hasn't got a team.Why?..because the owners use it as leverage when they want something from a city..you wont build us a stadium, well then we will move to La.It's all about the bennys http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/wave.gif

Re: LA - Is that the reason why the Rams left and Raiders went local?

One team in LA would, or should, financially kick the f**k out of the rest, i.e. a new LA Raiders....?

stadium (still waiting on that btw)The Rams just sucked and were drawing no fans.I dont know what you mean by socialist run,but compared to the other leagues(mlb, nba), the players get the short end of the stick, when it comes to who runs the game. The nfl players union is nowhere near as powerful as the baseball or basketball wons

All TV revenue is divided is it not?

Does all of the gate receipts and merchandise also go straight to the organisation/owner or is there any split? (Thought I heard some split to be the case)

Even the draft I think is very 'socialist' (or liberal be a better term http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/hehe.gif ) like - the worst gets the best attempt for the best legible college players in order to compete, instead of might and capital ruling, like here in ruined commercialised and profitable football/soccer, where profit/capital 7/8 times out of 10 does win
