1. Magic Wheels or Sour Grapes?
2. Was Victoria unlucky with her penalty yesterday?
3. Has the evidence of her first penalty been seen by anyone except the refs?

1) Sour grapes - I loved Hoy's response that the 'magic wheels' are actually made in France
2) Super unlucky, as much Meares fault as Pendletons
3) I've seen it and it was correct

1. Sour grapes in the main. Brailsford has spent the last 4 years making sure the team peaked for this week rather than any of the World Championships in between the Olympics.

2. Little bit unlucky, but the judges have been very harsh (and pretty consistent) over crossing the sprinter's line for the last couple of years. Certainly no more unlucky than Meares was at the last World Championships which she lost to Pendleton in pretty much the same way. Vicky lost because she was tactically awful - poor in the first race and absolutely abysmal in the second.

3. Don't think there is a camera on the right line so probably not. From where they were at the end of the lap it looked like Pendleton went miles too soon. The call on the Chinese in the final was a lot tighter.

Not that I'm saying that's a good or bad thing.

Laura Trott is quite cute

Obviously there's more to it than my uneducated observations would recognise but it did seem odd.

seemed very happy with the idea of never having to go through it all again

Had the better draw, then made the bad decision to go to the front and then the even worse decision to stop once she had. Weird imo.

Mind you, she's always been a bit of a fruitcake. At least Trott and King look like they quite enjoy bike racing.

Because an hour of watching her cry would have annoyed me tbh. :allheart:

Did you see the Iron Maiden tour documentary on BBC4 last week?

Edforce 1.

Not as good as the Metallic one of course, very interesting though in terms of the logistics of such a scale tour.

As I have the DVD http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/hide.gif

Nowhere near as funny as the Metallica one obviously, as Iron Maiden aren't anywhere near Metallica's league in the 'massive, massive tool' stakes.

Have you seen the 'Lemmy' movie? V. good imo.
