Perhaps the players know they only way they'll be getting CL footy is by winning the EL, so they're putting all their energy into that rather than the league?
Last night's performance would suggest that. Players were tracking back, working hard, pressing and doing generally what they should be doing. Ozil was also looking more like the Ozil we expected.
