    Not Soho, but I finally made it to the Quality Chop House around the corner from Exmouth Market in Clerkenwell recently. If you've not been, I'd find an excuse, if not this time...

    For Soho, relatively recent openings that won't disappoint include Hoppers and Kricket (both casual). Bocca di Lupo and Social Eating House (mild wánkery) are more time-honoured favourites of mine too

    Worth a visit, if you're in the mood for Steak, Triple Cut Chips ( possibly the best TCC I've ever had ) and creamed spinach.
