Yes, I think we're sort of agreeing. If you want the destruction of the Labour party as we now know it as the ultimate goal, we want Corbyn to remain as long as possible, I think. Going now would be too early, we need another year or two of infighting, accusations, conflict and then a complete collapse as both sides become completely entrenched in their positions such that a split is the only tenable outcome.

There is certainly the argument that the prospect of letting in a hard left government led by Corbyn is the only thing stopping the tories going completely tonto, yes. Only the hardest of hardcore remain lunatics like Soubry and Clarke are prepared to destroy the country in order to avoid Brexit.

However, the fact is that Brexit will tear apart any party that's in power while having to enact it. It's just too big and too loaded with democratic significance not to.
