Anyone listened to the "London Calling" LP lately?

    It's still good.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

No but I've recently listened to a few oldies that I had forgotten how good they are:

Under the Boardwalk - The Drifters
Rudy, a Message to You - Dandy Livingstone
    Boogie with Stu - Zeppelin
    Jane - Barenaked Ladies

Grown up? You do realise I spend time on a message board talking about football, music and other *******s

Boogie with Stu is clearly the best song on PG, which otherwise is grossly overrated.

Nonsense. I mean, there is The Rover, for a start.

As an album, yeah it isn't the best.

I love Lost in the Supermarket - reminds me about Barca on Ket around 20 years ago. My mate and I bought a huge octopus which we tried to bbq but it was too big to fit on the grill bit. No-one else tried to eat it, it was really rubbery.

Not their best effort, I agree. Shockingly pop in mood. However it can't be all bad with a lyric line "I empty a bottle and I feel a bit free"

Speaking of great songs I've heard recently.

Do you know where 12th St and Vine is Chief?

I'm going to Kansas City, Kansas City here I come...

I do and I wouldn't recommend lollygagging around there at night. At 18th and Vine, however, are the American Jazz Museum and the Negro Baseball League museum, both are excellent. About 3 or four blocks to the east of those, 18th and Brooklyn, is the venerable Arthur Bryant's Barbecue. Not the absolute best KC Q in the 21st century but still very, very good.
