I feel guilty now (car incident continued)

I have been given a rather nice and expensive hire car whilst mine is being fixed.

They are going to rinse my neighbours insurance.

Perhaps she shouldn't have absolutely walloped a stationary (and parked) car?

I had a 3 series touring as a hire car in similar circumstances to yours, complete non-fault claim from me, all paid for by the other side's insurance. the agreement with Enterprise showed a rate of £265 + Vat for the hire car. My car was written off after about 4 days but I ended up with the car for about 3-4 weeks as I argued with them about the payout on my car. The guy said he had a duty to the other insurance company to not pay me out anymore that it needed to be in order to maintain costs. It was lost on him when I said we'd already spent more on the hire car for an extra week than I was asking them to pay out on my car.

I think Enterprise are sharks. They have given me a M340d. There really isn't the need for it, they played the old you don't want the garage's courtesy car trick multiple times on me so I said go on then. (you'll get a fiat 500 or a Corsa)

No wonder insurance so bloody expensive.

That's how I am rationalising it. I just feel a bit akward turning up in this brand new car. then again they'd probably do the same.

Just had a look at the paper work.
They are billing them £336.86 + VAT a day

That is because it is a scam. Not your fault at all. All insurance is a scam.

So true (funny how it seems)

There is a very good John Finnemore sketch in which he hires a car and then tries to bet that he can crash it (or something like that) that skewers the idea

That didn't sound very good. You cut a long story short, imo.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."
