We huffed and we puffed, a classic valiant exit etc. We were in no way embarrassed as many thought we might be but they were quite superior to us I thought.

Even with 10 men in the first leg they had the two best players on the pitch in Oblak and Godin, and in the second leg swap those two for Griezemann and Costa.

I do like the big unit Partey also. He would be on my shopping list this June.

That's a bit in contrast with your original post there r. You seemed to be suggesting we were the better side over the two legs. ( we weren't btw. They invited us on to them and realised very quickly we were toothless and were very vulnerable to a counter )

I think we were... They defend as a unit so remarkably well. Very well drilled indeed but Arsenal were more creative, for me.

If Monreal and Berrelin could cross a football/we had Giroud to get on the end of them then I think it would have been different.
