Overhead kick! That is so so sixties, the man thinks he's Denis Law. Thank God no Arsenal striker

would do anything as unseemly and vulgar as an overhead kick.

Modd? Recalculating those predicted points for Leicester?

I think Giroud has scored at least a couple of scissor kick "corkers".

That was old school La Piola though

To be fair, I'm not entirely sure that technically counts as an overhead kick. Also we were about 12-0 down at the time

“corker” Another word only ever used in the context of football

    See also: “rue” and “readied”

Hahah, I know, it's precisely why I used it just now, very Roy of the Rovers. "Rue" is one

of my least favourite footie cliches. Don't think I have ever seen it used outside of "they would rue all those missed chances etc."

No. I saw "Mrs Hudson's Christmas Corker" at Wilton's in December.

Whatever happened to the 'hum-dinger'? Think it came from pinball but my dad and his lot used

it for a power shot in football.

Honourary mention for "eye" and "swoop"

This century isnt an entirely comfortable one for you, is it Mo?

Cant say I blame you, I'm not sure it would be my first choice either
