Is there anything viler than wholemeal pitta?
No white bread? What of the baguette, the pain de campagne, the pain flute? What of the foccacia, the ciabatta? What of the pizza, the roti, the pide?
If I have bread these days, it's generally a rye/wholemeal combo.
Did I tell you I cracked Pad Thai over the weekend? The trick is not to pre-cook the rice sticks, but to soak them in cold water until pliable and then cook them in the pan with all the other stuff. Not bad at all.
