No way in the world we are pissing that much money up the wall. Madness!

I don't think Arteta's approach to coaching is very well suited to superstars. We don't want them. We want more Sakas and Rices.

Will be interesting to see how long we manage to hold on to Saliba.

I also think Martinelli has the ability to be almost as good. There's no better player in the PL at bringing the ball down, his finishing is good, he can go past people (doesn't do it enough) and electric pace.

He is capable of scoring 30 a season. But I think there is a touch of the superstar about him. Not convinced we will hang on to him that long if he does hit the heights we think think he can.

Barca are rumoured to be sniffing around. I just think he lacks a bit in confidence.

I don't think we get him into scoring positions often enough. Just can't quite work out why.

If we are going to start using White as the inverted full back it is going to change the balance of our build up and might pull him further inside more frequently. Will be interesting to see how that develops.

I think he's just told to hug the touchline, therefore we only see him as a more conventional winger.

Like Henry when he joined us

    There's a no. 9 there, I'm convinced

Absolutely, said it before I'd love to see given a bit more freedom as more of an old-fashioned inside left.

Of course, getting young Kylie in would help with that; once and for all ditching the nonsense about not buying superstars.

It was fine and noble and a' that so far as it went but, after all, we did build the Emirates so we COULD buy superstars. Let's become a final destination at last rather than a mere stepping stone.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

It's a mentality-thing now; does he have the minerals for it. A striker is expected to score every game, whereas for a winger, 1-in-3 or four or five will do. Some players may be happier hiding out wide rather than being the main man in the middle everyone looks to to win games.

Same with Saka. Each goal he gets is something of a nice bonus at the moment. He brings to mind Robben. When you think of him, he's always scoring THAT goal. In fact, he didn't actually do it that often. In a successful Robben team, the REAL goalscoring was always done by somebody else.
