    Maybe. I prefer to take the pessimist route so if he does have a great recovery it's a bonus.

    However, plenty of players have never been the same again as history has told us.

    In fact many athletes do come back stronger, primarily because the sole focus is on making the muscles balanced and more symmetrical. The downside is that it takes at least nine months to a year to be fully fit and ready to return to a 'high risk' sport like soccerball.
