WES's Man of the Day is - Gerard Idoux

a chef in Paris, for those who didn't know.

More importantly, Gerard was recently quoted - while discussing Dry January - as saying 'These days, we are not allowed to drink, to smoke or even to have a mistress. It's just prohibition, prohibition, prohibition.'

    Top man, Gerard.

I see that Alain Ducasse is following suit by massively reducing his wine prices in order to counter this vile, neo-Presbyterian nonsense.

The French sense of priorities is one of the things I can't help liking about them.

I've spent the last two days reading the Equality and Human Rights Commission's new guidance on sexual harassment and harassment.

    Come retirement, come...
“Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me.”

I could do that on my last day, couldn't I?

Alas...it is 80-odd pages long, b. Print it out? My company would think I am some kind of eco-Nazi if I did that.

Well I think it's fair to say that whichever day you did that on would be your last day, tbh.
