Given the political turmoil of the past 3 years, the fact that we have a hung parliament, an ineffective government, a public utterly disenchanted with the political class and a gaping, divisive wound in our society, in most countries there would new be fighting in the streets with the army depserately trying to control different warring factions.
Being British, we merely grumble a bit and get on with our lives.
That's why people want to come here. (that and the Housing Benefit, of course.)
It's still a fantastic place to live unless you're English imo. It's a migrants dream tbhsurpisies me the lengths people would go to come to the UK.
