    Yes. He was basically a guaranteed wicket.

    It's also a shame that the filthy north is behaving so unpatriotically and it's raining

    It does seem rather daft having back to back test matches in the North at end of August/September. I have resigned myself to spending 2 days in the beer tents

    With home Ashes wins not being so rare in the last two decades, many would accept missing out on one as a price for the World Cup win.

    Well, he is personally responsible for Arsenal never winning the league again so the well of sympathy is a little dry, I believe.
