Quite nice how things change so quickly. A month ago Spurs

had signed Ndombele and were building a squad to compete for the title, while we only had £45m and would struggle to buy anyone after signing Ryan Fraser. One month later and we’ve bought the best player outside of PSG playing in France, managed to loan one of best young central midfielders in Spain, signed one of the most talented young CBs in France and soon we will confirm the signing of Tierney (also looking to sign another CB which would be nice). Meanwhile Pochettino is having a massive whinge about not being in charge of transfers as it seems like Spurs will struggle to sign anyone else before the window closes. Add to that the fact that Eriksen and Alderweireld will leave on free transfers next summer.

    You love to see it!

I think the really important thing here is to remember that the real goal is for Tottenham's most successful spell since the 1980s to draw to a close with the break-up of the team, loss of manager, etc. WITHOUT THEM ACTUALLY WINNING A FÚCKING THING!

    That would be simply marvellous!

Daniel Levy still holding the purse strings there. Interesting that he’s prepared to lose Eriksen and Alderweireld for nothing. Probably thinking they were fairly cheap buys, will cost a fortune to replace this summer, and doesn’t want to get lumbered with two older players on massive new contracts (Ozil + Mikki). Can’t really blame him. Pochettino is clearly running out of patience though. He’ll replace Zidane at Real within a year imo.

I think Bale is hoping that's the case

Nicely summed up by the increasingly dreadful F365

Yes, all very positive although you'd think we'd finish the transfer window with a new CB who can challenge for the first 11 now.

One might also conclude that this Swiss Cottage chap is at best naive or at worst utterly clueless. Quite amazing how much analysis he does while not understanding some the most basic concepts around financial planning.

We will sign 2 CBs. One on loan, one permanently. Makes it easy if we get £10m for Biliek, £10m for Kos, £20m for Mustafi.

Ruben Dias/Umtiti (permanent) & Daniele Rugani (2 year loan), is the talk.
