Thread: The Guardian's review of JR-M's book is a scream.

The Guardian's review of JR-M's book is a scream.

There isn't even any pretence of objectivity.

The Guardian is as vile an agenda-driven brainwashing rag as the Mail.

"Confidence and moral purpose made Britain great, argues this poorly written book, designed to reflect the rightwinger back to himself at twice the size."

Damn it all, I don't particularly want to buy it, but I'll have to now just to pīss off The Guardian.

Btw, a fighter-sized jet keeps flying over my house. It appears to have engines on its wingtips. What might it be?

Engine on its wingtips? What devilment can this be? Some exec jets have fuel tanks on the wingtips that might appear engine-like, I suppose? Otherwise it could be a Lockheed T-33? Perhaps you can draw me a picture.

Yup. That was it. It was titting about, so clearly not an exec jet. Presumably it was flying from Duxford, which is just a short distance from here.

"The Victorians consists of a dozen clumsily written pompous schoolboy compositions about 19th-century characters."

That's from that bastian of socialism the Times. Might just be that it is a **** book written by a charlatan

To be honest, la, given a line up including Parris, Rifkind, Moran and, God help us, Knight, you'd hardly describe The Times (and sister) as right of centre, would you? They're all screaming lefties these days. Except Rod. Rod isn't a lefty.

It's 'bastion', la. You've been in Munich too long and are clearly thinking of Schweinsteiger.

Melanie Phillips as well and Clare Foges (though she is rather toothsome)
