Alan Moore said the only worthwhile thing I’ve ever heard about comics or superheroes.
He called them ‘The revenge fantasies of the impotent’.
    He was right.

What will be next in this great pantheon? And, more importantly, WHEN?
    Good topic!

    Narcos
    Handmaid's Tale (for the chicks)
Orange is the New Black (also for the chicks)

Jesus, I'm turning into a lesbain.

Interestingly (perhaps) the writer on Watchmen, the movie, David Hayter, is our production partner. Also wrote X Men 1 and 2

    Except for Asterisk. He's ace.

And unlike caped Septics, he's born of real history (occupation) and is an inspiration to humanity.

But more to the point, he's funny.

No. Asterix wasn't funny. Obelix was funny.

Besides, the English translations of those books were much funnier than the French originals.

He could be extremely dry, Asterix.

Yes, different matter altogether. The French consider them serious socio-political satire, rather than schoolboy comedy.

"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

Yes, they're always getting that sort of thing wrong. It's like Planet Of The Apes. The French originals were supposed to be a satire about American racial issues. Fortunately, Hollywood recognised that they were actually much more entertaining when they were about humans living in a world run by apes.

Looks rubbish. A sequel set 50 years from the original with a mixed in anti Trump/Whitey story. Meh.
