I like it! I say good luck old boy
'Seems that I was busy doing something close to nothing
But different than the day before'

'Met a dwarf that was no good, dressed like Little Red Riding Hood'

    'Now you're unemployed, all non-void
Walkin' round like you're Pretty Boy Floyd'

Ooh, I was so close to winning! All I needed was for Young, Fernandinho and Pogba to be booked and Sterling to score and I'd have been quids in!

Having Spanish as her mother tongue, my wife can often struggle with when to use "To Make" and when to use "To Do" in English as in Spanish "Hacer" covers both equally with no differentiation. In this case though, between do and make, I think make would be the better choice. Although as we all know, in reality neither are correct as you place a bet.

Thanks, m, I'll definitely print your grammatical advice and sellotape it over my eyes because I'm educationally subnormal and need you to tell me how to express myself correctly.

People tend to rate your education by reading what you write. If you post something that is educationally subnormal as you did here, then I am going to treat you as somebody who is educationally subnormal.

People also tend to notice when one uses language in a particular way for effect. People who aren't educationally subnormal, that is.
