    Al Blaine gone.

    Legendary drummer. Played the drums on pretty much any 60s hit you care to think of.

    Including The Ronettes' 'Be My Baby', officially* the greatest pop song evs.

    'Be My Baby' is definitely up there, though I don't remember 'pretty much any 60s hit you care to think of'. Was that the Supremes?

    Currently my favourite pop song ever is 'Stay' by Maurice Williams as recorded by the Hollies. The original was the shortest ever record to be the US No 1. I gather yer man did a version too.
